Hi FRIENDS!!!
Today's post is about Comics!!
Comics are a very useful tool to use in our classes because they help students to be engaged in the reading process, motivated and it's a fun way to learn important cross-curricular content.
I just have created a comic using the online program Storyboardthat as you can see bellow!
The aim of this comic is to make the students aware that if they have any problem or concern, they can talk about it with their teachers, and that is normal to not have a good day every day. It could help students to recognise their feelings and to see that they are not alone.
Ok, now I am going to tell you about my experience using this interesting tool.
At the very beginning I didn't know how to start, but this web tool gives you a lot of options to chose to create your story, as a several backgrounds, a lot of characters and on, moreover you can personalise them changing the features as the colours, sizes and shapes. Furthermore you can add "textables" to write what the characters are saying.
In the moment to save it, it gives you the option to embed it as you can see in this post.
One of the cons that I can say about this tool is that in the free version, you can just use six cell layout and just create two comics per week.
I really enjoyed doing that, it was not difficult to create and I think it is a safe material to use with our students. Definitely I 'll use it within my classes with my upper graders students.
Ok guys, that's all for today!! I hope you enjoyed this information as well as me while writing it馃槈馃槈!!
Stay tuned for more and see you soon!!
